At a time when the geographical distance between Palestine and its people around the world is widening, and the need to build new forms of connection that go beyond fleeting visits or emotional attachment is growing, a fundamental question emerges: How can belonging be transformed into active participation, memory into experience, and the expertise accumulated by Palestinians in the diaspora into added value that contributes to Palestine’s present and future?

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, alongside Taawon (Welfare Association), celebrated the conclusion of the "Enhancing Cadre Competencies for Adapting STEM Education in Palestinian Schools" project. Supported by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and in cooperation with Omnia Education Partnerships, the closing ceremony was held at the National Institute for Educational Training, attended by participating schools, educational partners, teachers, and school principals.

Taawon participated in the Friends of Palestinian Universities (FPU) Annual Conference 2026, Standing with Palestinian Higher Education: Global Solidarity and Academic Partnership, held in London, bringing together Palestinian university leaders, international academics, higher education institutions, and partners committed to supporting Palestinian higher education.

Taawon (Welfare Association), with support from Malala Fund, is implementing a new project to help restore safe and inclusive learning opportunities for children in Gaza at a critical time, as children continue to face severe disruptions to their education, protection, and psychosocial well-being due to the ongoing aggression, widespread displacement, and the destruction of learning spaces.

Taawon (Welfare Association) has launched the first cohort of its project, “Developing the Competencies and Skills of Palestinian Youth in Promising Sectors in Palestine,” under the Learn to Lead Programme, bringing together 100 young women and men from across the West Bank and Jerusalem.
